Upgrading Axure RP 8 Team Projects to RP 10
If you have team projects that you created with Axure RP 8, you can upgrade them to Axure RP 10 by following the steps below.
Note
Upgrading directly to Axure RP 10 will ensure that your team project link remains the same. If you upgrade the project to Axure RP 9 first, a new team project link will be created.
Upgrading Cloud Hosted Team Projects from Axure RP 8 to Axure RP 10
Ask all collaborators to check in their changes to the project by going to Team → Check In Everything in the previous version of Axure RP. Check in your changes as well.
Still in the previous version of Axure RP, go to Team → Get All Changes from Team Directory, and then save and close your local copy.
Open your local copy with Axure RP 10, and then follow the steps in the Upgrade Dialog.
Once you’ve upgraded the team project, collaborators can either open their current local copy in Axure RP 10, or they can get a new local copy of the team project in Axure RP 10 by going to Team → Get and Open Team Project.
Upgrading Axure RP 8 SVN Hosted Team Projects to Axure RP 10
Axure RP 10 cannot open SVN team projects. To work with this project in Axure RP 10, open it in Axure RP 8 and export it to a RP file by going to File → Export Team Project to File.
Then, create a new team project by opening the file in Axure RP 10 and going to Team → Create Team Project from Current File.
Accessing the Axure RP 8 Backup File
When upgrading anAxure RP 8 Team Project to Axure RP 10, a backup copy of the original team project folder, which contains both the .rpprj file and the DO_NOT_EDIT folder. You can locate this backup copy to keep for your records by navigating to the Axure Team Projects folder located in your computer’s Documents folder.
Troubleshooting Upgrade Conflicts
If you encounter any conflicts during the upgrade process, or if you need to revert the team project back to Axure RP 8 for any reason, follow these steps:
Log in to app.axure.cloud or the Axure Cloud desktop app.
Select the workspace the team project is located in and then click on the project's name.
At the top of the the project overview page, switch to the History tab.
Locate the revision that states Upgraded project to Axure RP 10 and then click the Revert Upgrade - Return to RP 8 link.
On the next page, select the Revert to RP 8 button to confirm.
Warning
Reverting a team project will restore it to the last version from Axure RP 8, and all versions from Axure RP 10 and their check-in history will be lost.
