Figma

The Axure plugin for Figma lets you bring your Figma designs into Axure in two ways: copy frames directly into Axure RP as editable widgets, or publish them to Axure Cloud to create Clickthrough projects.

Copy to Axure RP

Import Figma frames into Axure RP as editable shape widgets. Figma layers are converted to Axure RP widgets, and your layer structure is preserved as widget groups.

  1. Install the Axure plugin for Figma.

  2. In Figma, select the elements you want to copy, then go to Plugins → Axure → Copy Selection for RP.

To copy all frames at once, use Copy All Frames for RP instead.

  3. In Axure RP, use Edit → Paste or right-click the canvas to paste the elements.

Publish to Axure Cloud

Publish Figma frames directly to an Axure Cloud Clickthrough project for sharing and inspection. No Axure RP license is required for this workflow.

  1. Download and install the Axure Cloud desktop app.

  2. Install the Axure plugin for Figma.

  3. In Figma, select the frames you want to publish, then go to Plugins → Axure → Export Selection to Axure Cloud. This will open the Axure Cloud app.

  4. In the Axure Cloud app, select the project you want to publish your frames to.

Alternatively, click the Create new tab and name a new project.

  5. Click Upload to publish your frames.

Once the upload is complete, you can build interactive prototypes from your frames or use Inspect to extract CSS, content, and layout information from your designs.
