Adobe XD
The Axure plugin for Adobe XD lets you bring your XD designs into Axure in two ways: copy artboards directly into Axure RP as editable widgets, or publish them to Axure Cloud to create Clickthrough projects.
Adobe XD was discontinued in January 2024. The Axure plugin for XD remains available for users who still have access to their XD files.
Copy to Axure RP
Import Adobe XD artboards into Axure RP as editable shape widgets. XD layers are converted to Axure RP widgets, and your layer structure is preserved as widget groups.
-
Download and install the Axure plugin for Adobe XD.
-
In XD, select the elements you want to copy, then go to Plugins → Axure → Copy Selection for RP.
To copy all artboards at once, use Copy All Artboards for RP instead.
-
In Axure RP, use Edit → Paste or right-click the canvas to paste the elements.
Publish to Axure Cloud
Publish Adobe XD artboards directly to an Axure Cloud Clickthrough project for sharing and inspection. No Axure RP license is required for this workflow.
-
Download and install the Axure Cloud desktop app.
-
Install the Axure plugin for Adobe XD when prompted.
-
In XD, select the artboards you want to publish, then go to Plugins → Axure → Export Selection to Axure Cloud. This will open the Axure Cloud app.
-
In the Axure Cloud app, select the project you want to publish your artboards to.
Alternatively, click the Create new tab and name a new project.
-
Click Upload to publish your artboards.
Once the upload is complete, you can build interactive prototypes from your artboards or use Inspect to extract CSS, content, and layout information from your designs.
