Upgrading Axure RP team projects to RP 11

If you have team projects created with earlier versions of Axure RP, you can upgrade them to Axure RP 11 by following the steps outlined below.

Upgrading cloud-hosted team projects

  1. Ask all collaborators to check in their changes to the project by going to Team → Check in everything in the current version of Axure RP they are using. Check in your changes as well.

  2. In the same version, go to Team → Get all changes from team directory, then save and close your local copy.

  3. Open the local copy with Axure RP 11 and follow the steps in the Upgrade wizard.

  4. Once the team project is upgraded, collaborators can open their current local copy in Axure RP 11 or get a new local copy by going to Team → Get and open team project in Axure RP 11.

Accessing the backup file

For versions RP 9 and above, a backup file will be created in the same location as the original .rpteam file, with the version number appended to the name. For example: Teamprojectname_RP9.rpteam.

For team projects in RP 8, a backup copy of the original project folder is created. This folder contains the .rpprj file and the DO_NOT_EDIT folder. You can locate this backup in the Axure Team Projects folder in your computer’s Documents directory.

Troubleshooting upgrade conflicts

If you encounter conflicts during the upgrade process or need to revert the team project to an earlier version, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to app.axure.cloud or the Axure Cloud desktop app.

  2. Navigate to the workspace containing the team project and click on the project name.

  3. Locate the revision labeled Upgraded project to Axure RP 11 and click the Revert upgrade link.

  4. Confirm the reversion by selecting the appropriate option (Revert to RP 8, Revert to RP 9, or Revert to RP 10, depending on the original version).

warning

Reverting a team project will restore it to its last version in the original Axure RP version. All changes and version history made in Axure RP 11 will be lost.

For more details on team project revision history, see the Team project history page.
